The kind man and myself this morning

we will not sleep together

again

This may have been our last night

sharing dreams

in the same bed

for a new definition

embarks on us

we must change our behaviors

We shouldn’t anymore

we’re friends

but last night

this morning

we are lovers

were.

We were lovers

many months ago

you soften me

the skies glow from

our history

one touch brings it back

a standstill moment.

the sensation on my hand from yours.

unbearable longing

But now I am changed

you left and I hurt

I live in our memories

every day

it saves me

does it save you?

do you feel it still

because I do.

Denial pumps through my veins

no

this is not the end

we have more

let us grow apart and

back together

this path in the forest

leading to a field

just for us

Let us hear our

heartbeats synchronize

in the cruel silence

of the world

for we will survive

through and with each other.
