Poetry
I use poetry as a way to put my emotions and thoughts on paper. It helps me to deal with hard times and make realizations about myself. I began writing poetry years ago but took a break because I thought it was making things worse. Turns out I was just afraid of feeling all of the emotions and memories that were being brought up. Since then, I have learned to embrace this and now poetry is one of my favorite coping mechanisms.
